Design
This is our house, and we’ve designed it in line with our values. We restored it following the architectural proposal of Nicholas Heywood and Nancy Camacho. We restored the original Republican-style rooms dating from 1909, and we constructed the new additions using earth materials. The house possesses a system of rainwater capture and use, as well as recycling of grey water. We offer a range of room sizes fitting from one to four people each.
The house does not have any television sets; we’ve opted instead for warm spaces where you can read, write, paint, play, cook, and share with your friends. We do have a WiFi connection throughout the house.
Reception
We currently live outside of Tunja, so our entire house is available for families or groups interested in history, in rural areas, in sustainable construction, and in peaceful surroundings. Clemencia is in charge of attending to our guests’ needs, preparing breakfast every morning and cleaning both common areas and bedrooms.
